After a morning of schoolwork Manon decided to create her own lesson plan and was the teacher while I made lunch. Katherine and Madeline both agreed that they liked the new teacher much better due to her silliness and sense of humor.
Once dark outside we were off to Oxbow Zoo in Byron MN to experience the zoo at night with Christmas lights. Although this cut out was meant for only one face Remington was happy to share it with his little brother Harrison!
Unfortunately one of the side effects of the darkness is the inability to see their faces!
Firepits and flame logs were placed throughout the park to keep everyone warm.
Beautifully decorated swing.
All animals at Oxbow Zoo have been injured and unable to be rehabilated back to the wild. This wolf was friendly and wanted to play!
Ahhh...the donkeys and pony.
Entrance to the nature center.
Learning about local wildlife.
After the zoo we went on a drive around town looking for the best Christmas decorations. We thought that the house with the candy cane garland was going to be the winner until ...
We came across this house!
The lights were set to music! (Notice the girls are walking up to the house to ask where they bought this system!)
